You can’t easily see when someone was last active on Slack.
However, there are a few ways you might be able to estimate it:
-
Message timestamps: You can check the timestamps of a user's most recent messages in channels or direct messages. While this gives a rough idea, it’s not a perfect measure of when they were last active.
-
Online status: Slack shows a green dot next to someone’s profile when they’re active, and a yellow dot when they’re idle. However, if they haven’t been active for a while, there will be no dot at all.
-
Admin access: Admins can access Slack logs and potentially see detailed activity, including when users last interacted with the platform. This feature might be restricted based on the workspace’s privacy settings or the type of Slack plan (e.g., Enterprise Grid).
In short, regular users don’t have a clear view of someone’s last activity, but admins might be able to access that data through logs.
